Blue Jays Select Getz

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have selected the contract of 2B CHRIS GETZ from Buffalo of the International League (AAA). To make room on the 40-man roster for Getz, RHP MICKEY STOREY has been released.

GETZ, 30, has appeared in 18 games for the Buffalo Bisons this season, batting .309 with nine RBI and six stolen bases. The Southfield, Michigan native has played in 449 Major League games for the White Sox and Royals over six seasons posting a .251 batting average with three home runs, 111 RBI and 87 stolen bases.
