Don't miss the opportunity to give your students a day they'll never forget on May 8th at Space Day 2014 at Comerica Park

DETROIT - Don't miss your chance to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime field trip with your students at Space Day 2014 at Comerica Park. On Thursday, May 8 prior to the Tigers 1:08 p.m. game against the Houston Astros educators from the Michigan Science Center, as well as NASA Astronaut, Dr. Michael Massimino will host students at Comerica Park for a lesson about the universe and galaxy from the perspective of an astronaut.

Astronaut Dr. Michael Massimino will share his experiences from his trips to outer space to service the Hubble Telescope and educators from the Michigan Science Center will be on hand to discuss the wonders of space, and help students understand more about the galaxy we live in. The entire lesson will be presented on the Tigers giant HD videoboard and is designed for students of all ages.

Space Day participants and their educators will have the opportunity to enter Comerica Park at 10:00 a.m. The event will begin at 10:35 and conclude at 11:30 a.m. Then, all participants will have the chance to enjoy a great ballgame at Comerica Park to cheer on the Tigers.
