Quote excerpts from Lasorda include:

On sneaking out of the house to play baseball as a kid:  "Baseball, that's all I liked to play…I'd open up the bathroom window and shimmy down the pipe. And as soon as I'd hit the ground, boom! I'm gone! I have to run four miles to Elmwood Park. That park was later named after me."

On playing in the minor leagues:  "I signed with the Phillies and I go to Spring Training. My first place was Concord, North Carolina with the North Carolina State League…I finish the season, I go home and three weeks later I'm drafted into the United States Army."

On being a coach: "I worked them to death. I made them work and work and work. I said, 'You're going to get to the big leagues.' I said, 'You're going to love me when you're in the Major Leagues.'"

On waiting to become the Dodgers' Manager: "I was coaching third base. I said, 'If I have to wait 10 years, I'll wait. I want that job. Those are my guys.'"

"Connected With…" has previously featured Dodger personalities Stan Kasten, Ned Colletti, Carl Crawford, A.J. Ellis, Andre Ethier, Adrian Gonzalez, Kenley Jansen, Hanley Ramirez and Brian Wilson.
