Dodgers place A.J. Ellis on the DL, recall Tim Federowicz

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today placed catcher A.J. Ellis on the 15-day disabled list with a right ankle sprain (retroactive to May 25) and recalled catcher Tim Federowicz from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Federowicz appeared in 13 games during his first stint with the Dodgers April 8-30 and was hitting .298 with four doubles, a homer and six RBI in 17 games with the Isotopes.
