June 10 Military Appreciation Day at PNC Park update

Thousands of Tickets Distributed Courtesy of Pirates and GovX Complimentary Ticket Program

The Pittsburgh Pirates announced today the Pirates and GovX complimentary ticket program for Military Appreciation Day on Tuesday, June 10 is now sold out. Due to the overwhelming response to the program, thousands of tickets for the game were distributed and the inventory for the program has now been exhausted.

The Pirates would like to extend their appreciation to all groups and active duty military personnel and veterans of the United States Armed Forces that worked quickly to ensure tickets were distributed to the many deserving individuals.

In honor of those who currently serve our country, as well as those who have served in the past, the Pirates and GovX.com-- a dedicated website for military, law enforcement, first responders and related government agencies-- have partnered to provide a day of enjoyment at PNC Park for service men and women.

All active duty military personnel and veterans were given the opportunity to request up to four tickets per military I.D. in advance of the June 10 game. Tickets were made available while supplies lasted and were distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Pirates are pleased to have the opportunity to honor these brave men and women throughout the day as the team plays host to the Chicago Cubs at 7:05 p.m.

Members of the U.S. Military (active, reserve, veteran and retired) can still take advantage of specially priced Pirates tickets to all Sunday through Friday home games throughout the 2014 baseball season. To access the exclusive discount of up to $10 off all Sunday through Friday home games, qualified fans can visit the Pirates/GovX ticketing page at pirates.com/military.
