Dodgers take on Colorado in a three-game series starting tomorrow

LOS ANGELES - The Dodgers' fifth homestand of the season continues with a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies, tomorrow, Monday, June 16 at 7:10 p.m. (LHP Tyler Matzek vs. LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu), Tuesday, June 17 at 7:10 p.m. (RHP Jhoulys Chacin vs. RHP Zack Greinke) and Wednesday, June 18 at 7:10 p.m. (LHP Jorge De La Rosa vs. LHP Clayton Kershaw). All auto gates open at 4:30 p.m. and all stadium gates open at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow through Wednesday.

All-Star balloting continues this week at Dodger Stadium, where fans can continue to vote for their favorite Dodgers to represent the club at the Midsummer Classic on July 15 at Target Field in Minnesota. The latest National League balloting results are due out later tonight, and outfielder Yasiel Puig, first baseman Adrian Gonzalez and second baseman Dee Gordon remain in the mix for a starting spot. Fans can cast their ballots in-person at Dodger Stadium or vote up to 25 times online at Dodgers.com/vote until Thursday, July 3 at 8:59 p.m. PT. All-Star teams will be unveiled during the weekend of July 5-6.

The Dodgers take on the Rockies at 7:10 p.m. tomorrow. All auto gates open at 4:30 p.m. and all stadium gates open at 5:00 p.m. Gene Simmons of the legendary band KISS will perform the national anthem. "True Blood" star Sam Tramell with throw the ceremonial first pitch. Dodger Alumni League member Tim Leary will sign autographs in the right-field pavilion plaza and Alumni Leaguer Lee Lacy will sign autographs in the left-field pavilion plaza from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A DJ will provide musical entertainment in the right-field pavilion plaza.

As part of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation's (LADF) partnership with the Los Angeles Fund for Public Education's (LA Fund) School Fuel program, a pre-game ceremony will feature a $200,000 check presentation and video recap of Andre Ethier's school visit. As part of School Fuel, Driftwood Dairy will distribute 35,000 School Fuel cartoons featuring Ethier, Clayton Kershaw, Hyun-Jin Ryu and Carl Crawford. Pregame ceremonies will also include a PSA featuring First Lady Michelle Obama which celebrates the partnership between LADF and School Fuel.

The Veteran of the Game presented by Bank of America is U.S. Marines Gunnery Sergeant Jaime Osorio of Los Angeles. Osorio enlisted in 1994 and currently serves with the Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101, also known as the "Sharpshooters," at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. The squadron trains aviators to fly the F/A-18 Hornet Strike Fighter. Osorio is responsible for the unit's movement for all missions as well as managing and mentoring more than 20 Marines and Sailors. He has served at Camp Pendleton and has served deployments to Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan. His accolades include two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals and the Global War on Terrorism Medal.

As part of Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball, 250 youngsters from Oak Tree Elementary School and Break the Cycle will be in attendance. Oak Tree Elementary School is located in Inglewood and Break the Cycle provides tools and resources to prevent and end dating abuse. Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball provides Los Angeles area inner-city youth with a Dodger game experience courtesy of the Dodgers. Transportation to and from Dodger Stadium in a customized Dodger bus, Reserve level tickets, a voucher for a Dodger Dog and beverage and a Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball T-shirt are included.

Tomorrow, Monday, June 16

The Dodgers take on the Rockies at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday. All auto gates open at 4:30 p.m. and all stadium gates open at 5:00 p.m. The first 40,000 fans in attendance will receive an autograph baseball presented by MasterCard. This is an exit give away and will be distributed to fans upon exiting the game.

Dodger Alumni League member Tommy Davis will sign autographs in the right-field pavilion plaza and Alumni Leaguer "Sweet" Lou Johson will sign autographs in the left-field pavilion plaza from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A DJ will provide musical entertainment in the right-field pavilion plaza and a face painter will also be on hand for children.

In honor of MLB Autism Awareness Night with Autism Speaks, the national anthem will be performed by Holly Robinson Peete, actress and philanthropist for Autism Awareness. Film, television and stage actor Ed Asner will officially start the game with "It's time for Dodger baseball!" alongside his son, Matthew Asner, the executive director of Autism Speaks Southern California. GRAMMY award nominated R&B singer Trey Songz will throw an honorary first pitch. Trey Songz is currently promoting his sixth studio album "Trigga," which will be in stores on July 1 and will next be performing at STAPLES Center on Sunday, July 29 alongside Jennifer Hudson and Mary J. Blige, as part of the BET Experience at L.A. LIVE. Kevin O'Leary, billionaire entrepreneur from ABC's hit show, "Shark Tank," will throw the ceremonial first pitch and announce the Dodgers' starting lineup.  

The Veteran of the Game presented by Bank of America is U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Bernadette Montes of Whittier. Montes enlisted in 2007 and currently serves with the 426^th Civil Affairs Battalion Airborne. Montes has served at numerous posts throughout the country and has been deployed to Iraq on two occasions. Her accolades include the Combat Action Medal the Global War on Terrorism Medal.

As part of Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball, 250 youngsters from A Place Called Home, Cesar Chavez Elementary School, Playworks and Lighthouse for Women & Children. A Place Called Home provides South Central children and teens age 8-21 with love, safety, enrichment, training, and opportunities through educational programs, counseling, and mentorship. After-school, weekend, and all-day summer programs and services include tutoring and homework support, as well as instruction in the arts, athletics, dance and music. Cesar Chavez Elementary is located in Norwalk. Playworks, Aspire Huntington Park Center, is a team of coaches, kids, teachers, parents and supporters who believe in the power of play to make kids, schools and communities stronger. The Lighthouse for Women & Children serves homeless single women and women with children and established its Life Recovery program in 1998 which offers a transitional living program that includes programming for recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.

Tuesday, June 17

The homestand concludes on Wednesday, when the Dodgers take on the Rockies at 7:10 p.m. All auto gates open at 4:30 p.m. and all stadium gates open at 5:00 p.m. "Girl Meets World" cast members Ben Savage, Daniel Fishel, Rowan Blachard and Sabrina Carpenter will partake in the ceremonial first pitch. "Girl Meets World," premieres on the Disney Channel on June 27 and is the sequel to the popular 90s "TGIF" sitcom "Boy Meets World." Renowned country music singer-songwriter and actor Billy Ray Cyrus will perform the national anthem.

Dodger Alumni League member Billy Ashley will sign autographs in the right-field pavilion plaza and Alumni Leaguer Dennis Powell will sign autographs in the left-field pavilion plaza from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Veteran of the Game presented by Bank of America is U.S. Navy Chief Ronald Richards who currently serves with the Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 55 based at Point Magu.

LADF, in year 2 of its 3-year partnership with Vision to Learn (VTL), will celebrate Vision to Learn's distribution of its 20,000^th pair of free eye glasses to youngsters in Los Angeles. Pregame ceremonies will feature recognition of 100 youth serviced, a video tribute to VTL's success and recognition of its founder and board chair, Austin Beutner.

As part of Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball, 250 youngsters from Aspire Tate Academy After School Program, a South LA school that offers a free after school program. Wednesday, June 18

The Dodgers' auto gates are open 2.5 hours before game time and the stadium gates are open two hours before the scheduled first pitch. Fans taking advantage of this early arrival time can enjoy various family-friendly activities as soon as gates open throughout Dodger Stadium including in the newly enhanced right and left-field pavilion plazas which feature the Budweiser and Bud Light bullpen overlook bars and the new Tommy Lasorda Trattoria and the Think Blue BBQ. In the left and right-field pavilion plazas, there are also plenty of photo opportunities with Dodger memorabilia, including five-foot diameter World Series rings, an eight-foot replica of the Rawlings Gold Glove Award, a life-size statue of the iconic Farmer John Dodger Dog, interactive replicas of the 76 ball and various bobbleheads. Autographs for fans with Dodger Alumni League members and family friendly activities also take place before each game in the pavilion plazas and reserve level plazas.

Ellis, Drew Butera and Tim Federowicz in which the trio converse in depth about baseball's most challenging position, is the featured story in June's Dodger Insider magazine, on sale now and featuring a cover story on slugging first baseman Adrian Gonzalez.
