A's reinstate IF Jake Elmore from the DL and option him to Sacramento
OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's reinstated infielder Jake Elmore from the 60-day disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A Sacramento, the club announced today.
Elmore began the season on the 15-day DL with a strained left quad. He started a rehab assignment with Sacramento April 24, which was halted May 3 after going 0 for 4 in two games. Elmore was transferred to the 60-day DL May 18 before resuming his rehab June 8. He went 6 for 18 (.333) in six games following his return and was batting .273 in eight games overall, including a 1 for 4 performance today against Iowa.
