Radamel Falcao and 2014 World Cup Golden Boot winner James Rodriguez highlight Copa EuroAmericana match at Marlins Park

AS Monaco and Atlético Nacional to meet on Wednesday, July 23 at 8 p.m.

Marlins Park will host the first United States match of the 2014 Copa EuroAmericana on July 23 at 8 p.m., when Atlético Nacional takes on AS Monaco. Colombian stars Radamel Falcao and 2014 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner James Rodriguez will play for AS Monaco as they challenge the Copa Libertadores champions, Atlético Nacional.

Falcao, the striker who missed the 2014 FIFA World Cup due to a knee injury, will be playing in his first tournament since the injury. In his only year with AS Monaco, Falcao scored 11 goals in 19 appearances. He was the first player to win two consecutive Europa League titles with two different teams, F.C. Porto and Atletico Madrid. He scored a hat trick in the Atletico Madrid UEFA Super Cup victory over Chelsea to begin the 2012-13 season. In 2011, his 17 goals in 14 UEFA Champions League/ YEFA Europa League games broke Jurgen Klinsmann's European scoring record (15).

Rodriguez recorded 10 goals and 12 assists in 38 appearances this past season with AS Monaco. During the 2014 FIFA World Cup, he helped Colombia's national team advance to the quarterfinals, an accomplishment that has never happened in the club's history. He scored six goals and had two assists in five matches; his 6 goals earned him the 2014 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot.
