A's reinstate Reddick from the DL

Option Parrino to Sacramento

The Oakland A's reinstated outfielder Josh Reddick from the 15-day disabled list, the club announced today. The A's also announced that infielder Andy Parrino was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento following the game Sunday.

Reddick was placed on the 15-day disabled list June 29 with a right knee strain. He began a rehab assignment with Single-A Stockton July 14 and went 9 for 21 (.429) with two doubles, three home runs and eight RBI in five games with the Ports. This was his second stint on the DL this season as he was also out from June 1-23 with a hyperextended right knee. Reddick appeared in just four games between injuries, going 5 for 11 (.455), and is batting .229 with four home runs and 24 RBI in 54 games overall with Oakland.

Parrino was recalled from Sacramento July 12 for his second stint with the A's this year and went 2 for 6 (.333) in three games. He was batting .250 in five games overall with Oakland.
