Dodgers host youth baseball clinics at three Dodgers Dreamfields starting tomorrow

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers will play host to hundreds of youngsters starting tomorrow through Friday, July 25 at three separate youth baseball clinics to be held at Dodgers Dreamfields. Tomorrow, the Dodgers will hold a clinic at Evergreen Recreation Center in Los Angeles, Thursday, July 24 at Lemon Grove Recreation Center and Friday, July 25 at Gilbert Lindsay Recreation Center. Each clinic will include instruction in hitting, pitching base running and fielding. Each youngster in attendance will also be provided with a Dodger hat and lunch courtesy of Subway. Youngsters participating in the Dodgers youth baseball clinics tomorrow through Friday have been pre-selected.

Tomorrow, Dodger alumni league members Tim Leary, Matt Luke, Dennis Powell and Derrell Thomas will be on hand at Evergreen Recreation Center to conduct a clinic for more than 100 youngsters:

The Dodgers' Dreamfields program is one of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation's signature initiatives and its goal is to provide baseball fields where youngsters can learn the game of baseball in an organized program that is administered by the City or County in a safe environment while learning the importance of playing team sports and key characteristics like sportsmanship, ethics and fair play.
