Cardinals introduce Fantasy Mini-Camp in 2015

Hall of Famer Bob Gibson to participate in three-day camp scheduled for January 29-31 at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Florida

On the heels of a successful inaugural Busch Stadium Fantasy Camp and an already sold out 2015 Fantasy Camp in Jupiter, Florida, the Cardinals are expanding the program by introducing a new mini-camp. The 2015 Fantasy Mini-Camp scheduled for January 29-31 at Roger Dean Stadium gives fans the opportunity to play alongside and interact with former Cardinals like Hall of Famer Bob Gibson during one jam-packed weekend.

"We're entering our 15th year of Cardinals Fantasy Camps, and each year the demand keeps growing," said Joe Pfeiffer, Cardinals Fantasy Camp Director. "With the new mini-camp, we're looking forward to bringing this incredible experience to even more die-hard Cardinal fans."

Throughout the three-day camp, the 44 campers will live the life of a Major Leaguer getting drafted, receiving instruction from some of the best in baseball, and playing four games under the management of a former Cardinal.

All campers will dress in authentic, personalized Cardinals uniforms, and use a customized locker in the clubhouse at Roger Dean Stadium during the round-robin tournament. At the end of the weekend, one team will be crowned Fantasy Camp Champions.

Additional perks include an opening reception, special autograph and photo opportunities with the 14 former Cardinal participants, "So you think you can hit a Big Leaguer" where campers can stand in the batter's box against a former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher, a "Talkin' Baseball" dinner with Bob Gibson and Rick Horton as the event emcee, and much more.

Cardinals alumni participants will be announced in the coming weeks. For more information, or to register for camp, fans should visit cardinals.com/fantasycamp or email [email protected]. Campers must be 27 years of age or older.
