Texas Rangers Homestand Highlights, September 22-28

The Texas Rangers will host the Houston Astros and Oakland A's during a seven-game homestand beginning on Monday, September 22 to close the 2014 season.

The Rangers and Astros play the final installment of the 2014 Lone Star Series with 7:05 p.m. games on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, September 22, 23, and 24. The first 15,000 fans entering Globe Life Park in Arlington on Tuesday receive a Coca-Cola Rangers Garden Gnome. September 24 is Nolan Ryan Beef Dollar Hot Dog Wednesday and Dr Pepper Autograph Wednesday.

Free cholesterol screenings for adults ages 18 and older will be conducted at Globe Life Park on Monday, September 22 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Cholesterol Awareness Night, sponsored by AstraZeneca, is a free event and is part of an educational initiative the company is conducting with five Major League Baseball teams in September, which is National Cholesterol Education Month. The goal is to help raise awareness about the importance of "knowing your numbers." It is the first time that the Rangers have hosted cholesterol health screenings for fans at the ballpark.

The A's provide the opposition for the final series of 2014 with 7:05 p.m. games on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, September 25, 26, and 27 and a 2:05 p.m. contest on Sunday, September 28. On Thursday, the first 15,000 fans, 14 and older entering Globe Life Park receive a Dr Pepper/Albertsons Yu Darvish Replica Jersey.

Big Green Egg sponsors a post-game Fireworks Show set to the music of today's hits following Friday's game, and fans can purchase $15.00 Upper Reserved tickets to the September 26 contest by entering FIREWORKS as the coupon code at texasrangers.com. In addition, fans who wish to watch the fireworks from the field can purchase $10.00 infield passes at texasrangers.com or the Globe Life Park box office (space is limited).

The 2014 finale on September 28 will be Fan Appreciation Day and prizes including autographed items, gift sets, and merchandise will be awarded to fans throughout the game. All fans who attend on Sunday will receive a voucher good for one free Upper Reserved ticket to a select 2015 home game.
