Pagan's injured knee needs more time

PITTSBURGH -- Giants outfielder Angel Pagan won't rejoin the club when he's eligible to return from the 15-day disabled list, manager Bruce Bochy said Sunday.

Pagan (right knee tendinitis) was placed on the disabled list on Aug. 11, retroactive to Aug. 10, making him able to comeback on Tuesday.

But Pagan will still be rehabbing his knee in the Minor Leagues. Bochy said the 34-year-old played a rehab game in Arizona on Sunday, and will join Triple-A Sacramento for games on Tuesday and Wednesday.

"Then we'll see how he's doing," Bochy said.

Pagan is hitting. 258 with 26 RBIs and six stolen bases.
