Anti-Defamation League honors the Atlanta Braves

On Thursday night, the Braves became the first professional sports franchise in Atlanta to receive the Stuart Lewengrub Torch of Liberty Award on behalf of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Southeast Region. The Braves were recognized for their commitment to making a difference in the communities they serve and their support of the ADL's No Place for Hate® initiative.

For several years, the Braves have been an advocate of No Place for Hate®, a program designed to rally school-aged children around the goal of creating a welcoming community and stopping all forms of bias and bullying. The Braves and ADL have teamed up to provide assemblies, rallies and caravans to local schools in order to combat bullying in public, private and parochial schools across Atlanta. The organizations have also worked together to unveil a series of anti-bullying PSAs featuring Braves players and managers.
