A's OF Coco Crisp has successful right elbow surgery

OAKLAND, Calif. - Oakland A's outfielder Coco Crisp has undergone successful right elbow arthroscopic surgery, the club announced today.

The surgery was performed this afternoon by Dr. Jon Dickinson at Presidio Surgery Center in San Francisco. The procedure involved the removal of two loose bodies and a debridement of the elbow joint. He is currently resting comfortably at his residence.

Crisp is entering his sixth season with the A's, and is a .270 career hitter over 13 Major League seasons with Cleveland, Boston, Kansas City and Oakland. He is the A's all-time leader in stolen base percentage at 86.0% (160 for 186) and has 297 career stolen bases, including 12 consecutive seasons with 10 or more stolen bases. His 13 leadoff home runs with the A's are second most in Oakland history and tied for third most in Athletics history.
