A's place six players on the DL; reassign five to Minor League camp

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's placed right-handed pitcher Jarrod Parker, left-handed pitchers Sean Doolittle and Sean Nolin, infielder Nate Freiman and outfielders Coco Crisp and Josh Reddick on the 15-day disabled list, the club announced today. Reddick was placed retroactive to March 27. The A's also reassigned left-handed pitcher Barry Zito, right-handed pitcher Brock Huntzinger, switch-pitcher Pat Venditte, catcher Bryan Anderson and outfielder Jason Pridie to their minor league camp.

Parker goes on the DL as he continues his recovery from March 24, 2014 Tommy John surgery. Doolittle has a strained left rotator cuff and Nolin is recovering from off-season bilateral core surgery. Freiman has a lumbar muscle strain, Crisp had right elbow surgery yesterday and Reddick has a right oblique strain.
