A’s Recall Tyson Ross from Triple-A Sacramento
OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland A’s recalled right-handed pitcher Tyson Ross from Triple-A Sacramento, the team announced today. Ross is scheduled to start today’s game against Tampa Bay.
Ross joins the A’s for the fourth time this year and is 2-8 with a 6.35 ERA in 12 starts with Oakland. He was first recalled from Triple-A Sacramento April 17, the first day the A’s needed a fifth starter. He went 2-6 with a 6.51 ERA in nine starts before he was optioned back to Sacramento May 31. Ross returned June 16 to start against San Diego and allowed two runs in 6.0 innings in a no decision before he was optioned back to Sacramento the next day. He returned for a third stint June 23 and went 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA in two starts before he was optioned June 29. Ross was 3-1 with a 2.85 ERA in nine starts with the River Cats following his last option.
