A's reinstate OF Crisp from the DL; Option OF Gentry to Nashville
OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's reinstated outfielder Coco Crisp from the 15-day disabled list and optioned outfielder Craig Gentry to Triple-A Nashville, the club announced today.
Crisp began the season on the 15-day disabled list after undergoing surgery on his right elbow April 3. He went 2-for-8 (.250) with a double, RBI and walk in two starts in left field on a rehab assignment with Single-A Stockton on Sunday and Monday. Crisp went 2-for-15 (.133) with a RBI in seven games this spring.
Gentry was batting .086 with no extra base hits and two RBI in 16 games with the A's. He was 3-for-13 (.231) over his last seven games after starting the season with a career-high 0-for-22 streak. Gentry started five games in center field, three in left field and two in right field.
