A's Reinstate Reddick from the Disabled List; Option Montz to Sacramento

The Oakland A's reinstated outfielder Josh Reddick from the 15-day disabled list and optioned catcher Luke Montz to Triple-A Sacramento, the club announced today.

Reddick was placed on the 15-day DL May 8 retroactive to May 7 with a sprained right wrist. He began a rehab assignment with Single-A Stockton on Monday and spent the next three days with Sacramento. Reddick combined to go 3 for 14 (.214) with five runs, three walks and two stolen bases in the four games, including two in right field and two at designated hitter. He was batting .152 with one home run and 14 RBI in 29 games with the A's before going on the DL.

Montz was selected from Sacramento May 1 and hit .179 with one home run and five RBI in 13 games with the A's. He started eight games with Oakland, all against left-handed pitching and all at designated hitter. Montz is batting .283 with five home runs and 12 RBI in 15 games with the River Cats.
