Astros to Recognize Memorial Day with Commemorative Jerseys and Reduced Ticket Prices for Veterans

The Astros will recognize Memorial Day on Monday, May 27 with commemorative jerseys, reduced ticket prices for military veterans and special pregame ceremonies.

All Major League Baseball clubs will wear specially-designed caps and jerseys featuring an authentic military digital camouflage design licensed by the United States Marine Corps.

Veterans and active military personnel will receive a 50% discount on tickets at the Minute Maid Park box office with the presentation of a military ID.

Prior to game time, service members representing the National Guard Reserve and active duty components of all five branches of the military will take part in a special flag presentation.

An additional pregame ceremony will include combat veterans from military campaigns including World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan.

The first pitch of the game will be thrown by 90 year-old WWII veteran Pat Duncan. Duncan, a native Texan, joined the navy at age 17 and served for six years. He received eight different commendations and medals over the course of his service.
