Ballpark Village event to open big Cardinals weekend

ST. LOUIS -- The Cardinals have added a kickoff program to their upcoming Winter Warm-Up and Cardinals Caravan weekend with Thursday's announcement of a Hot Stove LIVE! event at Ballpark Village on Jan. 16.

Second baseman Kolten Wong and new right fielder Jason Heyward will join manager Mike Matheny, chairman Bill DeWitt Jr. and team president Bill DeWitt III during a program that will feature a question-and-answer session with fans and a season preview. Broadcaster Dan McLaughlin will serve as an emcee that evening.

The program will begin at 6 p.m. CT inside the FOX Sports Midwest LIVE! area of Ballpark Village. Seating and standing room will be free on a first-come, first-served basis. FOX Sports Midwest and KMOX Radio will broadcast the program live.

The Cardinals' caravan, which features six different groups of players stopping at 22 places over six states, also begins on that date. The three-day Winter Warm-Up event kicks off on Jan. 17 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch. For more information on both, visit cardinals.com/caravan or cardinals.com/winterwarmup.
