Goebbert has two HRs, 4 RBIs in Triple-A El Paso win

The Padres' four minor league affiliates playing Sunday combined to scored 40 runs on 63 with three of the four coming from behind to win.

Triple-A El Paso scored three in the fourth, three in the sixth and six in the eighth while getting a franchise-high 22 hits in a 15-8 win at Las Vegas.

Double-A San Antonio scored nine in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat Northwest Arkansas 10-5.

And low Single-A Fort Wayne scored three in the top of the ninth to erase a 4-2 deficit and scored a 5-4 win at Wisconsin.

There were also mixed results Sunday from Padres on two injury rehab assignments.

Starting right-handed pitcher Brandon Morrow (4.05 ERA) allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings, but left his second rehab assignment with the Missions with shoulder discomfort after throwing 49 pitches (32 strikes). The outing could delay Padres plans to reactivate Morrow for the opener of the next homestand at Petco Park against the Dodgers. Morrow had allowed two hits over four innings in his first rehab start with the Missions.

Wil Myers opened his rehab assignment with the Chihuahuas and went 2-for-5 with a run scored. He started the game in center field.

At Las Vegas, first baseman Jake Goebbert (.273) was 4-for-6 with his second and third homers of the season for four RBIs and three runs scored for the 27-30 Chihuahuas. Shortstop Ramiro Pena (.311) also had four RBIs, going 3-for-6 with a double.

Second baseman Casey McElroy (.257) was 3-for-6 with a double and two RBIs. Left fielder Alex Dickerson (.312), from Poway High, was 3-for-5 with a double and a walk for three runs scored. Third baseman Brett Wallace (.277) was 2-for-5 with an RBI.

Left-handed starting pitcher Jason Lane (4.34 earned run average) allowed five runs on six hits and five walks in four innings.

Right-hander Jay Jackson (2.38 ERA) allowed a run on a hit with two strikeouts in two innings. Right-hander Daniel McCutchen (1-4, 4.65 ERA) allowed a walk in an inning to get the win.

AROUND THE FARM:

DOUBLE-A SAN ANTONIO (25-30): MISSIONS 10, Northwest Arkansas 5 - 3B Duanel Jones (.353) was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. RF Yeison Asencio (.286) was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. 2B Rey Bruguera (.210) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. C-1B Jason Hagerty (.200) was 2-for-3 with a walk. RF Hunter Renfroe (.226) had two doubles in four at-bats for a RBI and two runs scored. DH Alberth Martinez (.270) was 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored. RHP Stephen Kohlscheen (6.23 ERA) followed Morrow and allowed a run on two hits with a strikeout over 3 1/3 innings. RHP Luis De La Cruz (1-2, 9.00 ERA) allowed a run on a hit and two walks with a strikeout in an inning to get the win.

HIGH SINGLE-A LAKE ELSINORE (25-31): Inland Empire 14, STORM 10 - SS Jose Rondon (.297) was 4-for-4 with a double, two walks, two steals (15 on the season), two RBIs and three runs scored. 2B Fernando Perez (.251), from Otay Ranch High, was 3-for-6 with a double and three RBIs. LF Kyle Gaedele (.243) was 2-for-5 with a RBI. CF Auston Bousfield (.322) was 2-for-5 with a RBI. 1B Marcus Davis (.256) was 2-for-6 at the Storm had 17 hits. Starting RHP Rafael De Paula (3-4, 4.67 ERA) allowed six runs (five earned) on five hits and three walks with six strikeouts in four innings to suffer the loss. RHP Luis Hernandez (7.25 ERA) allowed six runs on two hits and four walks without retiring a hitter. RHP Jordan Hershiser (8.22 ERA) struck out one in two perfect innings.

LOW SINGLE-A FORT WAYNE (24-32): TinCaps 5, WISCONSIN 4 - LF Franchy Cordero (.224) hit a two-run homer for the decisive runs in the ninth. He was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. SS Ruddy Giron (.389) was 2-for-4 with a walk, a RBI and a run scored. RF Nick Torres (.323) was 2-for-5 with a double, a steal and a RBI. PH Edwin Moreno (.274) started the ninth-inning rally with a double and scored on Giron's single. Starting RHP Ernesto Montas (4.18 ERA) allowed one run on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. RHP Seth Lucio (4-2, 4.61 ERA) allowed two hits and a walk with a strikeout in 1 1/3 innings to get the win. RHP Colby Blueberg (1.47 ERA) struck out one in a perfect ninth to get his fourth save.
