HOUSTON, TX - The battle for the American League Western Division heats up on Tuesday as the Astros host the LA Angels of Anaheim for a three-game set, July 28-30. The two teams have met 10 times so far this season, with both clubs taking five games each. The Angels narrowly lead the division by 1.0 game. Following the Astros vs. Angels series, Houston will host the Arizona Diamondbacks for three games of Interleague play, from Friday, July 31 through Sunday, August 2. This weekend's series will feature several special giveaways in honor of Craig Biggio's induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Since the All-Star Break, the Astros have gone 6-3, including a 5-1 record at Minute Maid Park.

 

Astros fans will have another opportunity to experience Keuchel's Korner during the upcoming homestand. The dedicated fan section, located in sections 105 and 106, includes a signature Keuchel beard giveaway and a Keuchel's Korner #GoBeardOrGoHome T-shirt. Dallas Keuchel has gone a perfect 3-0 without allowing a single run in his three home starts since the launch of Keuchel's Korner, racking up a total of 32 strikeouts over those games. The "Season of the #Whiff" campaign, in partnership with the Astros, MLB and Head & Shoulders, continues to raise money for local RBI programs through Twitter. The team with the most #Whiff tweets, including retweets, will earn a donation for their location RBI league, and the top monthly winner will earn a $10,000 donation. Fans can participate and help raise money for the Astros RBI program by including #Whiff and @Astros in their tweets or retweets, with a 27 tweet limit per day per Twitter handle. The Astros placed third in June and have raised $15,000 for Astros RBI to date.

 

Tuesday, July 28 - 7:10 p.m. vs. LA Angels

The Astros are offering $10 tickets as part of their H-Town Proud package, celebrating 2015 AL All-Star starters Jose Altuve and Dallas Keuchel. The $10 view deck tickets will be available for this entire series, so fans can come down to the ballpark and cheer on their Houston All-Stars and the rest of the Astros squad. Wednesday, July 29 - 7:10 p.m. vs. LA Angels

Every Wednesday night home game is $1 Hot Dog Night, presented by Nolan Ryan Beef. Fans can purchase an unlimited number of Nolan Ryan Beef hot dogs at $1 each while supplies last (limit of four per person per concession visit).

 

Houston Astros All-Star pitcher Dallas Keuchel will be signing autographs and interacting with fans at the 8534 Highway 6 North (at West Road) Whataburger location in Houston, TX on Wednesday, July 29 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. He will be joined by Astros mascot Orbit and the Shooting Stars team. Player is subject to change, and due to time constraints, autographs are not guaranteed.

 

Wednesday night's game vs. the LA Angels will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. This marks the first nationally broadcast Astros game since Opening Day. Astros fans are encouraged to show their #HTownPride to the entire nation by packing the park for their hometown team.

 

Thursday, July 30 - 7:10 p.m. vs. LA Angels

Recent acquisition and Houston native LHP Scott Kazmir will make his Minute Maid Park debut as a member of the Astros on Thursday.

 

Prior to Thursday's 7:10 p.m. contest vs. the LA Angels of Anaheim, HomeAid Houston, a 501(c)(3) charity in its ninth year of partnership with the Houston Astros, will present the key to the winner of their 2015 Project Playhouse on the field in a special pregame ceremony. The Highland Hill County Playhouse was built by Highland Homes and was located at Minute Maid Park in June, as fans had the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win the playhouse. Over $82,000 was raised to build transitional housing for Houston's homeless men, women and children.

 

Every Thursday night home game is Budweiser Young Professionals Night at the ballpark. Friday, July 31 kicks off the Biggio Hall of Fame weekend celebration, as 10,000 fans will receive a Craig Biggio Hall of Fame Bobblehead, presented by Coca-Cola.

 

Prior to Friday's 7:10 p.m. contest, Astros third base coach Gary Pettis will present Astros outfielder George Springer with the Houston Astros 2015 Heart and Hustle Award during an on-field, pregame ceremony. This award honors active players who demonstrate a passion for the game of baseball and best embody the values, spirit and tradition of the game.

 

Big and Bright Friday Night returns with a postgame fireworks display, presented by Marathon Oil Corporation. This week's fireworks show will feature a "musical divas" theme.

 

Friday night is also Happy Hour at Minute Maid Park, featuring $5.25 specials at the Saint Arnold Bar in left field and Day Fresh Budweiser at the Budweiser Patio from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

 

Saturday, August 1 - 6:10 p.m. vs. Arizona

The Biggio Hall of Fame weekend celebration continues on Saturday with a special Craig Biggio Replica Pinstripe Jersey giveaway, presented by Coca-Cola, for 10,000 fans prior to the Astros 6:10 p.m. contest vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks.
