Beck, Surkamp among six White Sox cuts

The White Sox cut six players on Wednesday, trimming their Major League camp to 38.

Catcher Josh Phegley, right-hander Andre Rienzo and lefty Eric Surkamp, the team's No. 11-ranked prospect, were optioned to Triple-A Charlotte, while infielder Andy Wilkins and right-handers Chris Beck (No. 6) and Cody Winiarski were reassigned to Minor League camp.

Chicago now has 17 pitchers, three catchers, 12 infielders and six outfielders remaining in Major League camp.
