Ben Zobrist Has Successful Arthroscopic Surgery On His Left Knee

OAKLAND, Calif. - Oakland A's infielder/outfielder Ben Zobrist underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, the club announced today.

The surgery was performed this afternoon by Dr. Jon Dickinson at Presidio Surgical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Dickinson performed a medial meniscal debridement of Zobrist's left knee. He is currently resting comfortably.

Zobrist was batting .240 with one home run and eight RBI in 14 games with the A's before going on the 15-day disabled list Saturday. He has made five starts in left field, five at second base, two in right field and one at designated hitter.
