Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami to be Honored at Marlins Park on Charity Partner Day

WHO: 2015 Marlins Charity Partner Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami and Marlins Foundation

WHAT: On Friday, April 24, the Marlins Foundation will celebrate the first of four Charity Partner Days at Marlins Park. Charity Partner Days allow the Marlins Foundation to showcase the great work of Charity Partners in our community. In honor of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami's Charity Partner Day, members of their organizations will participate in a variety of pregame and in-game events, including a ceremonial first pitch. Big Brothers Big Sisters will also receive a portion of the proceeds raised through the Marlins Foundation Silent Auction, 50/50 Raffle and Mardi Gras Night ticket sales.

WHY: The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentor relationships that change lives for the better, forever. The Marlins and Big Brothers Big Sisters will launch a pilot Sports Buddies Program, a highly targeted one-to-one mentoring initiative serving middle and high school students in need of a positive role model.
