Blue Jays announce plans for single-game tickets

Inside Pitch members, Twitter followers will get first chance to buy for home games

TORONTO -- The Blue Jays have announced an exclusive deal for their Inside Pitch members and Twitter followers in advance of next week's sale of single-game tickets.

Single-game tickets will go on sale to the general public starting at 10 a.m. ET on Jan. 31. Prior to that date, a select number of tickets will be made available to the club's followers on social media and subscribers to the team's newsletter.

Inside Pitch members will be able to take part in an exclusive sale on bluejays.com that starts at 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday. A special link will be provided to members via email, which is valid until 5 p.m on Thursday.

Fans who are interested in the deal are being asked to sign up for the bi-weekly newsletter at bluejays.com/tickets. There are a limited number of tickets that will be available for Opening Night during this sale.

Twitter followers also will have an opportunity to take part in the presale starting on Thursday at 10 a.m. A special link, which is valid until 5 p.m. that day, will be provided on the club's official Twitter feed. There will also be a limited number of tickets available for Opening Night during this promotion as well.

The Blue Jays will play 37 of their 81 home games against other teams from the American League East. The highlights from Interleague Play include series against the Phillies (May 7-8), Cardinals (June 6-8), Brewers (July 1-2) and Cubs (Sept. 8-10).

The top promotions include a replica jersey day on May 25, when the first 20,000 fans will receive a blue jersey. This year's bobbleheads include one for R.A. Dickey (April 27), Jose Reyes (June 8) and a still-to-be-determined bobblehead on Aug. 24.

The Grand Slam combo also will make a return this year. The promotion combines a ticket, food and beverages into one price. The package will be available during eight games this year: April 10 and 25, May 15 and 29, June 26, July 18, Aug. 7 and Sept. 25.

Once again, peanut/nut controlled sections will be available on six dates throughout the season. This will be offered on April 27, May 25, June 29, July 20, Aug. 24 and Sept. 14.

Tickets can be purchased at bluejays.com, over the phone at 1-888-OK-GO-JAY, at the Blue Jays' box office, Rogers Plus locations and at Ticketmaster retail locations. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Toronto has opted not to increase the price of tickets.
