Blue Jays option righty Storey to Triple-A

The Blue Jays optioned right-hander Mickey Storey to Triple-A Buffalo on Monday and will make a corresponding move to fill his spot on the 25-man roster ahead of their game on Tuesday at San Francisco.

Toronto had recalled Storey on Saturday but did not use him in either of its next two games. The 27-year-old did make two relief appearances during a prior stint with the big league club, giving up three earned runs and six hits over 3 2/3 innings.

In 13 games for Buffalo this season, Storey is 0-1 with a 3.80 ERA and 31 strikeouts over 23 2/3 innings. The Blue Jays selected him off waivers from the Astros in December.
