Hague, Delabar recalled by Blue Jays
BOSTON -- The Blue Jays added two more players to their list of September callups on Tuesday, recalling first baseman Matt Hague and right-hander Steve Delabar from Triple-A Buffalo.
Hague, 30, won the International League's Most Valuable Player Award this season after hitting .338 with 11 homers and 92 RBIs in 136 games at Triple-A. He made one previous appearance in Toronto as a pinch-hitter on Aug. 22.
Delabar posted a 3.33 ERA in 27 games with the Blue Jays before they optioned him to Buffalo on July 25.
The Blue Jays have not yet activated right-hander Marcus Stroman from the 60-day disabled list. As of Monday, manager John Gibbons said the club still needed to determine whether he would return as a starter or reliever, and when that would take place.
Toronto's active roster stands at 33 players, including eight infielders and 11 relievers, following Tuesday's moves.
