Ziegler agrees to two-year extension with D-backs
Contract includes club option for 2016, guarantees $10.5 million
PHOENIX -- D-backs reliever Brad Ziegler has agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with a club option for 2016.
Ziegler announced the move on Twitter.

- Brad Ziegler (@BradZiegler) December 20, 2013According to a baseball source, he will receive salaries of $4.5 million in 2014 and $5 million in 2015. The club option is worth $5.5 million and there is a $1 million buyout attached, meaning he is guaranteed $10.5 million.
"Really excited to stay in Arizona for a couple more years, at least!" Ziegler tweeted.
Ziegler was originally acquired by the D-backs from the A's in a deal just before the 2011 Trade Deadline.
Last season, he took over the closer's role from J.J. Putz at the All-Star break. Ziegler wound up with 13 saves in 15 chances while compiling a 2.22 ERA.
