Braves and A's Complete Trade

Atlanta, Ga. - The Atlanta Braves and Oakland A's completed a trade today, as Atlanta acquired International Bonus Pool Slot No. 53 in exchange for right-handed pitcher Cody Martin.

Martin, 25, made his Major league debut this season (April 7 at Miami) for the Braves and went 2-3 with a 5.40 ERA over 21 relief appearances spanning two stints with the big-league club. He was originally selected by the Braves in the seventh round of the 2011 free-agent draft and owns a career minor league record of 27-25 with a 3.00 ERA in 107 games, including 73 starts, over five minor league seasons.
