Brewers to support the Salvation Army's Feed the Kids Summer Meals Program

Players and Staff to Help Prepare Lunches for Underprivileged Kids

MILWAUKEE, WI - As part of the Brewers ongoing efforts in the Milwaukee community, the team is proud to help support The Salvation Army's Feed the Kids Summer Meals Program. On Monday, June 15 from noon until 1 p.m., Brewers players, staff and Brewers Wives will be on hand to help prepare meals at Red Arrow Park for underprivileged kids within the Milwaukee area.

Feed the Kids Summer Meals Program is a summer youth program designed to help meet the needs of area children. The Salvation Army along with the Brewers will prepare lunches that will be delivered to neighborhoods, parks and street corners in Milwaukee's underserved areas. The objective of the program is to serve hungry children a nutritious meal during the summer months.

Several Brewers players, including Martin Maldonado, Jean Segura, Jeremy Jeffress, Wily Peralta and first base coach Mike Guerrero will be on hand to help prepare lunches on Monday at Red Arrow Park. Together, the Milwaukee Brewers, Brewers Wives, representatives from Mayor Tom Barrett's office and other community leaders will join The Salvation Army leadership & advisory board to help prepare nearly 1,800 lunches.
