Dodgers drop Brown from 40-man roster

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers outrighted right-handed pitcher Brooks Brown to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, clearing a spot on the 40-man roster.

Brown, 30, has never pitched for the Dodgers. He was claimed from Colorado on Oct. 14 and has gone 1-4 with a 3.97 ERA in 64 Major League games for the Rockies over the past two years.

The Dodgers have 36 players on their roster with the Winter Meetings opening Monday.
