Robinson Cano's bat control, Fernando Rodney's arrow, Felix Hernandez's intensity & an '80s hair band are all featured in the 2015 Seattle Mariners TV commercials

A friendly game of target practice during BP tests Robinson Cano's remarkable bat control, Felix Hernandez's fiery game-day personality creates challenges for a team photo, teammates try to figure out where Fernando Rodney's arrow lands, and an '80s hair band dedicated to third baseman Kyle Seager's outstanding play at the "hot corner." These are all among the scenarios for four new Seattle Mariners TV commercials.

The commercials, shot on location during Spring Training, begin airing today during the broadcast of the Mariners vs. Oakland A's game at the Peoria Sports Complex. (1:05pm first pitch). The game will be broadcast live on ROOT SPORTS. The commercials will run throughout the season on local and regional broadcast and cable channels. They can also be viewed starting today at www.mariners.com, where viewers can vote online for their favorite.

This year's campaign features 12 players, manager Lloyd McClendon and coaches Howard Johnson and Chris Woodward.

"Where Did it Go?" - Featuring Fernando Rodney, Nelson Cruz, Logan Morrison. Fernando Rodney shoots an imaginary arrow into the air after each save. Logan Morrison and Nelson Cruz, who debate whether the "air arrow" is real, get a surprise when it lands.

"Bat Control" - Featuring Robinson Cano, Lloyd McClendon, Howard Johnson and Chris Woodward. Robinson Cano's ability to hit to all fields is now well known to Mariners fans. Coaches Howard Johnson and Chris Woodward devise an experiment during batting practice to test his skill. Manager Lloyd McClendon gets involved with a tough assignment for Robbie, who hits it out of the park.

"Intensely Intense" - Featuring Felix Hernandez, J.A. Happ,. Hisashi Iwakuma, James Paxton and Mike Zunino. Felix gets pretty fired up while he's pitching, especially when he gets a big out to end an inning. That intensity presents problems when Felix's teammates try to take a group photo after practice.

"Hawt Corner" - Featuring Kyle Seager, Charlie Furbush, Tom Wilhelmsen and the band "Hawt Corner." Gold Glove third baseman Kyle Seager is a bit embarrassed when an '80s "hair band" is inspired to celebrate his fielding prowess in song. Turns out bullpen mates Charlie Furbush and Tom Wilhelmsen are not only huge fans of Kyle's, they're "Hawt Corner's" biggest fans, too.

As in year's past, the commercials are the result of a creative collaboration between the Mariners and Seattle agency Copacino+Fujikado. The commercials are shot on location in Peoria, Arizona, and directed by Blue Goose Productions of Mercer Island.
