Cardinals trim three from roster
Freeman, J. Butler & Diaz optioned
JUPITER, Fla., March 23, 2014 - The St. Louis Cardinals announced prior to today's game that they have optioned pitcher Sam Freeman and outfielder Joey Butler to the Memphis (AAA) roster and optioned infielder Aledmys Diaz to the Springfield (AA) roster.
The Cardinals currently have 30 roster players and seven non-roster players remaining in Major League Camp.
