Carpenter Cup Classic Baseball & Softball Update

Due to today's inclement weather the Baseball and Softball Carpenter Cup games have been suspended.
 
The semi-final game between Mercer County and Jersey Shore was suspended in the top of the 7th inning with Mercer County leading 2-1. The game will resume on Tuesday, June 25 at 9:30 a.m. Earlier today Lehigh Valley advanced to the Championship game defeating Tri-Cape 4-1. The Championship game will begin approximately one hour after the conclusion of the Mercer County/Jersey Shore game.
 
Tickets for today's semi-final game can be shown at the gate for entry to tomorrow's suspended and championship games. Those needing tickets can purchase them for $5 at the first base ticket windows.
 
The Semi-Final round of the 28th Carpenter Cup Classic got underway at Citizens Bank Park today. The Carpenter Cup Classic showcases the top high school baseball players in the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
 
The scores for the Semi Final round are as follows:
 
Game #13
Tri-Cape - 1
Lehigh Valley - 4
 
Game #14
Mercer County - 2
Jersey Shore - 1

* Suspended in the 7th inning due to Rain
 
* Due to inclement weather, Game #14 was suspended in the top of the 7th inning. The game will resume on Tuesday, June 25 at noon.
 
Championship game will also be played on Tuesday, June 25th approximately 1 hour after the completion of Game #14

The Softball Carpenter Cup Games 5 and 6 were suspended in the top of the 5th inning. In Game 5 SOL/Bicentennial was leading Philadelphia Public/AACA 6-2. Philadelphia Public opted to forfeit the game giving SOL/Bicentennial the win. The Mercer County/Olympic Colonial game will resume in the top of the 5th inning with Mercer leading 3-0. Game action for tomorrow's Softball Carpenter Cup remains the same with all postponed games picking up on Wednesday, June 26.
