Gillaspie, Robertson lead Rays' AFL contingent

BALTIMORE -- Arizona Fall League rosters were announced on Tuesday, and six players from the Rays' organization will be playing for the Mesa Solar Sox.

In addition to Rays players, the Solar Sox will have players from the Angels, A's, Cubs and Marlins.

Highlighting the selections from the Rays' organization will be first baseman Casey Gillaspie -- the club's No. 1 pick in last year's Draft and its No. 10 prospect, according to MLBPipeline.com -- and shortstop Daniel Robertson, the No. 5 prospect who came to Tampa Bay in the January deal that sent Ben Zobrist and Yunel Escobar to the A's.

Joining Gillaspie and Robertson will be right-handers Buddy Borden, Michael Franco, and Brad Shreiber and outfielder Jake Bauers.

Dan Dement from the Rays' organization will be one of the team's hitting instructors, and trainer Kris Russell will also be a part of the team's contingent.
