Cleveland Indians to test first 6:10 p.m. weeknight starts next week

Five games at Progressive Field will begin earlier to avoid weather conflicts, allow families and children to arrive home earlier on school nights

The Cleveland Indians remind fans that each game in next week's home series against the Kansas City Royals at Progressive Field will begin at 6:10PM ET, an hour earlier than typical weeknight games.

The club is testing an earlier weeknight start time during the season's early months to support the best interests of our players and fans, in an effort to avoid potential weather issues. Additionally, families and children who may be attending the games will arrive home an hour earlier.

The new Right Field Gate will open at 4PM for each game, while all remaining gates will open at 5PM.

The full schedule of 6:10PM weekday games is as follows:

  • Monday, April 27 vs. KC
  • Tuesday, April 28 vs. KC
  • Wednesday, April 29 vs. KC
  • Tuesday, May 12 vs. St. Louis
  • Wednesday, May 13 vs. St. Louis

$13 District Tickets, presented by SportsTime Ohio, are available for each game; fans who purchase District Tickets get a Standing Room Only ticket and their first drink - a 12-ounce domestic beer (for those age 21 and over), Pepsi product or bottled water - on the Indians.

Other tickets start at $10 in the Upper Bleachers, while supplies last, when purchased online.
