Colorado Rockies place Corey Dickerson on 15-day disabled list
Club recalls infielder-outfielder Ben Paulsen from Triple-A Albuquerque
DENVER - The Colorado Rockies on Tuesday placed outfielder Corey Dickerson on the 15-day disabled list due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot and recalled infielder-outfielder Ben Paulsen from Triple-A Albuquerque.
In 33 games this year, Dickerson is batting .306 (34-for-111) with 15 runs, five doubles, two triples, five homers and 16 RBI. Dickerson, who turns 26 on Friday, is among the National League leaders in home batting average (.389-3rd) and hitting with runners in scoring position (.462-3rd).
The 27-year-old Paulsen made his Major League debut in 2014, playing in 31 games over four separate stints with the Rockies. Paulsen hit .317 (20-for-63) with eight runs, four doubles, four home runs and 10 RBI. He has hit .256 (32-for-125) in 36 games at Triple-A this year. Paulsen, who has played 18 games at first and 17 in the outfield, has eight doubles, two home runs and 15 RBI.
The Rockies have a full 40-man roster.
