Cuddyer expected to come off DL on Tuesday

DENVER -- Right fielder Michael Cuddyer (left hamstring strain) is on track to be activated Tuesday when the Rockies open a series against the Giants.

He played seven innings at first base and batted seven times in an extended spring game on Friday.

Rockies trainer Keith Dugger said, Cuddyer, who was injured April 17, "feels normal and is 100 percent."

Dugger said Cuddyer is scheduled to play at least seven innings in the outfield and bat a minimum of seven times Saturday in another extended spring game before then flying to Denver. The plan is for Cuddyer to then play a rehab game Sunday at Triple-A Colorado Springs.

In 16 games this season, Cuddyer is hitting .317 (19-for-60) with three homers and 10 RBIs.
