D-backs reinstate Ender Inciarte from 15-day disabled list; Place Jarrod Saltalamacchia on the 15-day disabled list

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) reinstated outfielder Ender Inciarte from the 15-day disabled list (strained right hamstring) and placed catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left neck (retro to July 12), as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart.

Inciarte, 24, hit .320 (8-for-25) with a double, triple, home run and 4 runs scored in 7 rehab games between Double-A Mobile and Rookie AZL D-backs. In 63 games with the D-backs this season, he is batting .287 (72-for-251) with 11 doubles, 2 home runs, 21 RBI 9 stolen bases and 39 runs scored. Inciarte suffered the injury in the first inning on June 12 @ Angels.

Saltalamacchia, 30, was batting .318 (7-for-22) with 3 doubles, a RBI and 4 walks in his last 8 games. He hit .167 (15-for-90) with 2 doubles, 2 home runs and 5 RBI in 29 games with the Marlins and D-backs this season.

Saltalamacchia was signed by the D-backs as a Minor League free agent on May 7, and promoted to Arizona on May 29.
