D-backs to host Star Wars Night this Saturday
PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks are teaming up with Lucasfilm Ltd. to host the 2nd Annual Star WarsTM Night at Chase Field this Saturday, June 9 when the D-backs host the Oakland Athletics at 7:10 p.m. Star Wars costumed characters will be on hand for the night and fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters.
Prices for a special Star Wars ticket package start at $30 and include a custom D-backs Star Wars themed T-shirt and pre-game recognition for fans in Star Wars costumes. In addition, $2 from every Star Wars ticket package will benefit Stand Up To Cancer, a movement created to raise funds to accelerate groundbreaking cancer research that will get new therapies to patients quickly and save lives. Fans will also have the chance to win tickets to the biggest Star Wars party in the galaxy, Star Wars Celebration, this August 23-26 in Orlando, FL. The D-backs will promote Star Wars Night this Friday with a special Star Wars themed fireworks show presented by Gila River Casinos.
