Span set to show suitors he's healthy

Denard Span might be the next outfielder signed off the free-agent market.

Span, who turns 31 in February, is poised to meet with interested teams and prove his health, agent Scott Boras told the New York Post on Friday. Span was limited to just 61 games in 2015 because of three separate injuries, but he still hit .301/.365/.431 while healthy.

Span could be a fit for the Mets, who know him well after his time with the Nationals. He is a left-handed hitter, while the Mets also have a right-handed-hitting option in center field with Juan Lagares.

Span is a a .287/.352/.395 career hitter in eight seasons with the Twins and Nationals.
