Beachy clears waivers, heads to Triple-A

PHILADELPHIA -- Right-handed pitcher Brandon Beachy has cleared waivers, accepted an outright assignment by the Dodgers to Triple-A Oklahoma City and will start for that club Monday night.

Beachy, trying to come back from a second Tommy John surgery, was designated for assignment on Thursday to clear roster space for the club's non-waiver Trade Deadline acquisitions, including Sunday's starter Mat Latos.

Beachy made two shaky starts for the Dodgers before being optioned. The Dodgers owe him roughly $1 million this year and have a team option for 2016.
