Pederson's late ASG ballot push continues

CHICAGO -- Dodgers rookie outfielder Joc Pederson continued his late climb in this week's update of the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot voting.

Pederson, 11th among National League outfielders two weeks ago and eighth last week, is sixth in voting this week for that position, with Bryce Harper, Giancarlo Stanton and Matt Holliday holding down the top three spots. Yasiel Puig dropped one notch to 14th.

Adrian Gonzalez retained the second spot among first basemen, but the gap between he and leader Paul Goldschmidt has widened to more than 2.5 million votes.

Yasmani Grandal is the other Dodgers player among vote leaders, rising from fifth to fourth among catchers.

The 86th All-Star Game will be played July 14 at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.

Fans can cast their votes for starters at and all 30 club sites -- on their computers, tablets and smartphones -- using the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot until Thursday, July 2, at 8:59 p.m. PT. For the first time, voting is exclusively online, where fans may submit up to 35 ballots.
