Dodgers prospects participating in offseason leagues

Gordon among six Major Leaguers on Winter League rosters

LOS ANGELES -- Forty Dodgers players are listed on Winter League rosters, including six from the Major League roster.

The Major Leaguers are Nick Buss (Venezuela), Dee Gordon (Dominican Republic), Onelki Garcia (Arizona Fall League), Alexander Guerrero (Dominican Republic), Elian Herrera (Dominican Republic) and Matt Magill (Puerto Rico). All, except Guerrero, appeared for the Dodgers this year.

The two most intriguing participants are Gordon, a natural shortstop who will play the outfield, and Guerrero, the Cuban who just signed to a four-year, $28 million contract and can play second base or shortstop.

Outfielder Joc Pederson, the team's top prospect, has already gotten off to a torrid start for Lara in the Venezuelan League.

The list includes a half-dozen Dodgers farmhands playing for Adelaide in the Australian League.
