Dodgers send Cuevas to Rockies to complete Nicasio deal

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers sent Minor League outfielder Noel Cuevas to the Rockies on Tuesday to complete the Nov. 24 trade for right-handed pitcher Juan Nicasio.

Cuevas, 23, hit .231 at Double-A Chattanooga in 2014 after hitting .284 the previous season at Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga.

Nicasio is likely to fill a long-relief role in the Dodgers' bullpen in 2015 after spending most of his career as a starter.
