Tight hamstring doesn't prevent Puig from producing

LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig had his best offensive game of the young season Monday night despite a left hamstring that tightened up as the game went on.

"I did see him hobble a little," manager Don Mattingly said after the Dodgers' 6-5, 10-inning win over the Mariners. "Stan [Conte, VP of medical services] checked and said he was good to go. We'll see tomorrow."

Puig said he felt the leg tighten up when he stopped after rounding first base on his seventh-inning single. He played the entire 10 innings, but appeared to be limping when he hauled in Kyle Seager's fly ball in the ninth inning and again while he ran to first base grounding out to the pitcher in the 10th inning.

Puig homered for the second consecutive game and had three hits, raising his average 86 points to .222.
