Right-hander Ryan Butler struggled in his Double-A debut Tuesday while center fielder Travis Jankowski had two hits to raise his average to .348.

Butler, who was promoted to San Antonio Monday from Single-A Lake Elsinore, allowed five runs on his hits and four walks in six innings in his debut with the Missions. Right-handed reliever Aaron Northcraft allowed a run on three hits and two walks with two strikeouts in two innings as 16-22 San Antonio dropped a 6-2 decision at Corpus Christi.

Jankowski also moved back into a tie for the Texas League stolen base lead with his 15th steal. Designated hitter Hunter Renfroe (.220) was 2-for-2 with a walk for the Missions.

-- Melvin Upton Jr. appeared in a day game after a night game in the second day of his rehab assignment with Triple-A El Paso. Appearing as the Chihuahuas designated hitter, the center fielder had a double and a run scored in four at-bats.

-- Shortstop Ruddy Giron, 18, was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored Tuesday after going 6-for-6 Monday in his debut with low Single-A Fort Wayne.

Triple-A El Paso (20-19): Fresno 12, Chihuahuas 2 -- Starting LHP Robbie Erlin (4-3, 6.21 earned run average) allowed eight runs on 13 hits and a walk in 5 1/3 innings. Fresno hit four homers off Erlin and two more off RHP Nick Vincent (2.57 ERA), who allowed three runs on the two homers and a walk with a strikeout in an inning. 3B Brett Wallace (.303) was 2-for-4 with a double and a RBI. RF Alex Dickerson (.321) was 1-for-4 with a double, a RBI and a run scored.

Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore (16-22): Visalia 9, Storm 3 -- DH Auston Bousfield (.319) was 3-for-5. SS River Stevens (.317) was 2-for-5 with a RBI. C Adolfo Reina (.267) was 2-for-4. RHP Zechariah Lemond (2-2, 4.43 ERA) allowed five runs on five hits and two walks with seven strikeouts on six innings. RHP John Jester (0.00 ERA) allowed a hit with a strikeout in a scoreless inning. LHP Chris Nunn (6.43 ERA) allowed four runs on five hits and a walk in two-thirds of an inning. RHP Sam Holland (4.66 ERA) struck out two in 1 1/3 perfect innings.

Class A Fort Wayne (12-24): Lake County 8, TinCaps 5 -- CF Michael Gettys (.229) had two doubles in four at-bats with two runs scored. 1B Duanel Jones (.301) was 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Starting RHP Dinelson Lamet (0-3, 4.68 ERA) allowed five runs on five hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings. LHP Taylor Cox (6.11 ERA) pitched 1 1/3 perfect innings.
