Duffy's Sports Grill to donate $4,000 to Marlins Foundation on September 10 at Marlins Park
Proceeds come from 8,000 Funfetti cupcakes sold at Duffy's
During the month of August, Duffy's Sports Grill offered $1 Funfetti cupcakes in support of the Marlins Foundation. For each cupcake sold, Duffy's pledged to donate half the proceeds ($.50) to the Marlins Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of youth through education, the arts and baseball, with a special focus on children with special needs.
Patrons and fans alike joined Duffy's and the Miami Marlins in their commitment to give back to the community and purchased 8,000 Funfetti cupcakes, totaling a $4,000 donation. Duffy's will present Marlins Foundation this check on September 10th, as the Marlins take on the Braves at Marlins Park. The check presentation will take place during a pre-game ceremony, when Duffy's top seller, Jaime Taylor of Palm Beach Gardens, will also be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.
